If you have a web site and wish to recommend and point your visitors towards our site, you can become an Ancestral Atlas Affiliate and earn 30% commission whenever one of these visitors subscribes to our service - that's at least £3.90 exchange for every referral who signs up!

How it Works

Once approved as an affiliate, we will send you a unique Affiliate ID which you can include in any link from your site to ours. If a customer then registers with us (even as a free user) we will know that they originally came via your site. If the user subsequently buys a subscription, we will immediately send you notification of the commission fee you've just earned.

Payments to your designated PayPal account will be made on the last working/business day of each calendar month following the month that the referral fee was generated. This payment is also subject to the total commission payable being equal to or more than £30.

Help and Customisation Tips

Overview

Our Search Widget will create an Ancestral Atlas location search feature on your web page, that will allow the user to enter a country and location and then search Ancestral Atlas data for people and events in that location.

This widget is implemented using JavaScript code. This JavaScript code will generate the XHTML markup to display the widget on your web page.

To use the Search Widget, simply copy the code from the codebox in the section "Create your Widget" above.

How to Customise Search Widget Options

Using the options form in the "Create your Widget" section above, you can choose a default country, default location, logo format, whether to show Ancestral Atlas search results in a new window and also whether to display our static link at the bottom of the widget.

Each time you change an option, the code window adjacent will update, so remember to copy and paste the new code when you change options.

Typically you will want to place the code into a container of some kind, such as a table cell <td> or a div <div>.

How to Customise the Look and Feel
(Alternative CSS)

You can specify a custom CSS file by adding the URL to your CSS file to the JavaScript options, as below:

Please download our default CSS file and use that as your template. Please note that we do not currently provide support for CSS customisations.
